Our Land/Love Notes to Nature

Live conversation exploring land, memory and ancestral connections, March 25th 2026

I’m delighted and excited to be in conversation with Anupama Ranawa at Hodge Hill Church in Brum ~ invited by lovely Al Barrett, the vicar.

This conversation is part of a wonderful line up of events under the banner of ‘Our Land’ curated by Al.

My conversation will be a love note as/of/to/for/with earth, subverting colonial ideas of 'nature' as an ‘out there thing’. For indigenous cultures, many of which don't have a word for nature, this notion is an absurdity. During this evening we’ll remember that we are all wildly elemental and EARTH. And we’ll be complicating ideas of ‘nature as healing’ and ‘nature cures’.
