Join Dal, in collaboration with the Centre of Equity and Inclusion, for a poetry picnic in Western Park, Sheffield (we have a wet-weather contingency plan if it rains!). Dal will be reading from her poetry book (un)interrupted tongues. There’ll be a chance to discuss how she created her work and questions.

Saturday 8th June 2024 / Peaks of Colour Zine-Making Walkshop, Peak District.

Dal will lead us in a Nature Writing and Zine Making Walkshop filled with walks, nature-allied creative writing, collage, rest and conversation. Inspired by the local landscape we'll be exploring our connections with/as nature, healing and liberation and turning these explorations into words and text-based collages. Think readings, writing, making, cutting, re-arranging, sticking, colour and playful mess-making!

Saturday 15th June 2024 /Western Park Museum, Sheffield 12pm - 4pm, in collaboration with Migration Matters Festival: (un)interrupted tongues: sharing partition stories through zine-making

(un)interrupted tongues: sharing partition stories through zine-making is a creative zine-making workshop exploring themes of the 1947 Partition of India. Inspired by Kular's own poetic exploration & healing as a 'grandchild of the partition', we'll be making poems, words and collages and turning them in to a mini-zine.

Sunday 14th July 2024 11am - 4pm / Black Nature in Residence & WOC Azadi Collective present: Creative writing & making workshop, Peak District.

Join Dal and Women of Colour Azadi Collective for a day of nature, rest and healing, conversation, creative word-making, and collaborative book-making. And lot’s of fun! This is collaboration is part of Dal’s creative residency for Black Nature in Residence Project (identity on tyne). This workshop is for women of colour, non-binary/LGBTQ+/trans women only.
